Directions 

North River Collaborative is a multi-purpose, educational organization formed in 1976 to provide cost efficient, high-quality educational services and human service programs to school districts.

Educational Programs
Learning Centers
Programs serve the educational needs of students ages 3-22 along two  continuums: Students with Multiple Disabilities, and Students with Autism and Developmental Delays

Independence Academy 
An alternative multi-service secondary school serving adolescents with substance abuse and dependence problems.

North River School
An alternative middle and high school designed for students with social/emotional disorders in grades 5-12

Community Based Vocational Services
Community-based vocational learning

Summer Work & Learning Program
Offers a five week unpaid vocational/work experience

Student & Family Services

Behavior Consultation and Education Services
Providing Applied Behavior Analysis and Discrete Trial Training to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and similar developmental disabilities

English Language Learners
Offers assistance to students whose native language is other than English

Supporting and Connecting Families with Young Children

Services for the Visually Impaired
Gives children an opportunity to learn and maintain vital skills while in the company of peers with similar disabilities

Social Work Internship Program
Interns provide individual and group counseling for students

STRIDE P.E. Program
Students Taking Responsibility for Individual Diet and Exercise

Therapy Services
Provides Occupational, Physical and Speech Therapy within 38 public school buildings in nine school districts and to its Learning Center for Students with Multiple Disabilities.
